The actual session is just part of the creating process
After your session, I will spend a significant amount of time selecting and editing the best images for your gallery.
I am a professional photographer serving the Denham Springs/ Baton Rouge area. I specialize in custom newborn portraits, and my studio is located in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
Careful consideration has been given to price so that I can offer each client my very best in service, creativity, and, most importantly, experience.

We will capture your baby hitting new developmental milestones during a milestone session, like sitting up or standing.

Booking
Email or Call Melanie to book once your little is starting to grab those toes, roll over, push up on their tummy, sit up, crawl, stand, and walk. All those moments make for wonderful moments turned into portraits. Feel free to book anytime.
When you email to book, please let me know what month, what type of session, and if you want studio grounds or a different location. Please note: All sessions are scheduled for weekdays (Monday – Friday). We do not offer weekend sessions at this time.
How much is it?
The session fee is 100 and USB/Print Package options start at 250.
Adding a Smash cake to a 1-year session?!

We’ve got you covered! Melanie Harrell Photography is now offering custom cakes from our exclusive baker to deliver your cake right to the studio for your session!
She will bake your baby their very own 6-inch round or square cake and decorate it however you’d like!
You can choose from a variety of flavors, frostings, and fillings. You can even request a custom design!

Setup and Styling
I will personally work with you on your theme or color scheme to ensure your vision is captured perfectly.
I have many props, backdrops, and accessories to choose from.
If you have a specific prop or style in mind, please let me know, and I will be more than happy to try and accommodate your request.
You are also welcome to bring any personal items you would like to use in your session.
Please note: if you are bringing a personal item, I will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur to the item during the session.
